Abstract

The region of Deza is a Galician zone in the northeast of Pontevedra. Here, there are nine wind bands in diverse villages. Because of this, there is a need for designed researching lines to verify and give answers to questions and hypotheses related to their study. In general, this doctoral thesis is divided into three parts where different methodological strategies are applied: the first of them, and more brief, contents an approximation so as to study in general terms; in the second part, a historical and global route for the bands in Deza is established and, in consequence, there are fixed three stages that justify it; finally, the third part offers the perspective of these bands with a field work carried out in a recent time. In general, covering the different perspectives that the index collects, it will be necessary to design different procedures that allow to take advantage of the variety of sources with which will be explained, as well as personal material. The observation as a participant, the collection of surveys and personal interviews are skills that enrich the most common inquiries as it can be the archival query. Therefore, the conclusions will be based on general considerations in this region and also different appearances between the groups, in spite of the nearness between them.
