The Banda de Música Ciudad de Oviedo during its 25th Anniversary (1992-2017)

The Banda de Música Ciudad de Oviedo was established in 1992, reviving a wind band tradition in the capital of Asturias. After 25 years of activity, the Oviedo wind band has established itself as a musical point of reference in the city due to its continuous presence in the public field, especially through the practice of holding free public concerts. Founding, developing and contributing to the diffusion of the repertoire, especially, the lyrical one, to the general audience, is examined in this article.
