Section “Estudies”

Estudios bandísticos · Wind Band Studies is the journal of the Spanish Bandmaster Association. It is an international, printed and open-access, peer-reviewed journal with no publication fee. It aims to establish a broad interdisciplinary platform for music researchers interested on wind bands and related cultural practices. Scholars interested in contributing are invited to look through the submission guidelines.

Estudios bandísticos welcomes research that critically includes the following lines:

    – Repertoire and music analysis
    – Performative studies
    – Cultural practices 
    – Music iconography
    – Race theory and ethnic studies
    – Feminist, gender, and sexuality studies
    – Music and politics
    – Musical Identity
    – Music Education

Languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.
